S3E8: Panzer Dragoon Retrospective

SEGA Saturn, Shiro! is proud to present our latest podcast: S3E8, Panzer Dragoon Retrospective. Headlining the podcast is an exclusive interview with Mr. Benjamin Anseaume, producer of the upcoming Panzer Dragoon Remake! Listen to Ke, Patrick, Peter and Ben’s conversation with Mr. Anseaume and glean insights into the upcoming game, including reveals and hints not reported anywhere else.

  • How the game came about and SEGA / Team Andromeda’s involvement with the Remake,
  • What is new and what is staying the same,
  • Information about the game’s visuals, gameplay, score and soundtrack, target platforms, and physical release status,
  • Discussion about the Zwei Remake and the possibility of a Panzer Dragoon Saga remake (yes, we went there!)
  • How to send feedback to the development team,
  • And much, much more!

Opening the Podcast is a retrospective of ALL Panzer Dragoon releases across all gaming platforms as well as fans’ – and Shiro members! – personal stories of Panzer Dragoon. Immediately following the interview, the Shiros react to the wealth of information revealed, and look to the future of the Panzer Dragoon IP.

The episode’s Saturna Obscura – an obscure Saturn game in line with the podcast topic – is G-Vector. Listen to Ke, Peter and Ben’s impressions of the game to see if it is worth your hard earned dollar.

We close the episode with some team updates (see you at PRGE!), as well as a section of the Panzer Dragoon soundtrack that was cut from the Saturn game, before signing off with some funny outtakes from the recording session.

About the author

Peter Malek

A Saturn fan since the beginning, Peter plays Saturn almost exclusively. For Peter, Saturn represents a moment in time where 2D games were at their best, 3D was just rising, and fascinating gaming 'firsts' were commonplace.  There are very few Saturn games that Peter cannot find some enjoyment in!
