S4E2: Head for Saturn with Ken Loh

SEGA Saturn, Shiro! presents our latest podcast episode: S4E2, Head for Saturn with Ken Loh. Lots of content in this podcast which features a chat with Mr. Ken Loh. Ken designed the Saturn logo we all know and love, as well as working on the Saturn launch campaign (Head to Saturn was his handiwork) and a host of other (in)famous SEGA advertising! Also, we properly introduce our latest Cast member, Nick Broadway (YouTube: PandaMonium) as well as welcome back one of our original cast members, David Lee! It’s an exciting podcast and we are thrilled to have you listen!

Hosting the show is Patrick, joined by fellow Shiros Peter, Ben, Dave, and Nick. The cast covers a variety of subjects:

  • Our chat with Ken as he shares his insights into creating the Saturn logo, shooting the infamous ‘naked lady’ Saturn print ad, putting together the ‘Head for Saturn’ campaigns, and more!
  • A proper welcome and introduction to the newest member of the Shiro family, Nick Broadway!
  • A run-down of PRGE 2019, including the show’s Saturna Obscura – the various rare oddities found at the Expo!
  • A hands-on report of the Retro-bit Saturn wireless pads. Peter, Ben, K and Pat have tried them and give you the 411!
  • We dive into some of the more obscure Halloween games, including Casper, Swagman, Dark Seed, and Corpse Killer!
About the author

Peter Malek

A Saturn fan since the beginning, Peter plays Saturn almost exclusively. For Peter, Saturn represents a moment in time where 2D games were at their best, 3D was just rising, and fascinating gaming 'firsts' were commonplace.  There are very few Saturn games that Peter cannot find some enjoyment in!
