Worms #BestOfSaturn

SHIRO! SHOW Recap

Team 17’s Worms is an artillery game – using physics and aim to try and destroy the opposing team’s worms. Featuring plenty of maps, versus and league modes, and even the ability to play up to 16 players (passing controllers), this simple game has wormed its way into many gamers’ hearts.

Worms. Developed by Team 17 and published in North America and Europe by Ocean in 1996, and in Japan by I’MAX, in 1997.
The action sometimes zooms in, if it can – but the life bars are then out of frame!
The obligatory FMV intro video – it was the 90s, after all.
As a 2D game, it looks really nice even today. Oh – the game is mouse-compatible!

Peter Malek

A Saturn fan since the beginning, Peter plays Saturn almost exclusively. For Peter, Saturn represents a moment in time where 2D games were at their best, 3D was just rising, and fascinating gaming 'firsts' were commonplace.  There are very few Saturn games that Peter cannot find some enjoyment in!
