Langrisser Dramatic Edition is a compilation / remake of the first two Langrisser games, originally for the Japanese MegaDrive. Strategy RPGs at heart, the player controls over 30 units of characters and fights in massive battles, called scenarios. The games aren’t strictly linear, and the main series is entirely available on the Saturn… alas, only in Japan.
A Saturn fan since the beginning, Peter plays Saturn almost exclusively. For Peter, Saturn represents a moment in time where 2D games were at their best, 3D was just rising, and fascinating gaming ‘firsts’ were commonplace. There are very few Saturn games that Peter cannot find some enjoyment in!
The Langrisser games are fantastic, especially IV. Having all 5 games on the Saturn is simply amazing and well worth any SRPG fans time!
