It was possibly the closest Konami got in history to publishing a Parodius game in North America. A “deluxe pack” featuring near arcade-perfect ports of the second and third installments to this wacky Japanese shoot-em-up series was translated in English for both the Sega Saturn and Playstation. But in late 1995, promises turned false. This is a progression through the game’s development and its wildest stories, going from “confirmed” to “canceled” in North America.
