Sakura Taisen (Sakura Wars) is a 1996 collaboration between SEGA and Red Company. The game, dubbed a ‘dramatic adventure’, is part visual novel, part dating sim, and part strategy RPG game. Take on the role of Ensign Ichiro Ogami and manage the Flower Division in their quest to defend 1920s Tokyo against the Hive of Darkness, all while impersonating a theater troupe. Released exclusively in Japan, an English translation patch was released several years ago.
