Tilk: Girl from the Blue Sea #BestOfSaturn

Move over Fire Emblem! Tilk: Girl from the Blue Sea is a light-hearted tactical RPG that tells the tale of young Billy and his friends’ exploits on the sleepy tropical island of Tilk… until a mysterious girl from the titular blue sea sets them on an adventure, battling crabs, monsters, and villains. Alternating between story exposition scenes and simple SRPG battles, the game harkens back to a time of childhood innocence and lazy afternoons spent playing with friends in the sun. Multiple endings, gorgeous hand-drawn graphics and great music all entice, but the language barrier is strong.

A Saturn fan since the beginning, Peter plays Saturn almost exclusively. For Peter, Saturn represents a moment in time where 2D games were at their best, 3D was just rising, and fascinating gaming 'firsts' were commonplace.  There are very few Saturn games that Peter cannot find some enjoyment in!
