Elevator Action Returns is a game that should have been picked up for Western release. A Ving port of the Taito arcade original, this 2D run-and-gun gem appeared in 1997 and featured very nice pixel graphics and animations. 1 or 2 players take the role of counter-terrorist agents and must exit various buildings by first collecting all the ‘data’ behind scattered red doors. Bad guys will try to gun you down unless you get them first. Make sure to grab some power-ups along the way!
A Saturn fan since the beginning, Peter plays Saturn almost exclusively. For Peter, Saturn represents a moment in time where 2D games were at their best, 3D was just rising, and fascinating gaming ‘firsts’ were commonplace. There are very few Saturn games that Peter cannot find some enjoyment in!
