Fantastep #BestOfSaturn

April 1997 saw the Japan-only release of Jaleco’s Fantastep, a 3D adventure game featuring 2D sprites. Heavy on the language barrier, the adventure is more of a point-and-click affair and sees the gamer take on tasks both mundane and bizarre — such as dealing with people forced to work forever as clowns. Find at least five Flower Rings to see the game’s conclusion.

Your enjoyment here is dependent on your tolerance of text-heavy, non-intuitive “WTF is this??” style Japanese games. But hey — the visuals are nice!
