November 1995 was bountiful for Digital Pictures fans, as the firm released what would be their entire Saturn catalogue that month — including the peculiar Quarterback Attack.
Essentially an FMV quarterback simulator, the player makes choices as to who to pass to… but they better be quick, or risk being tackled. Coach Mike Ditka is there to cheer you on.
The gameplay is limited of course, but not as much as you’d expect. Amazingly, this was the first football game on Saturn. Only released in North America!
A Saturn fan since the beginning, Peter plays Saturn almost exclusively. For Peter, Saturn represents a moment in time where 2D games were at their best, 3D was just rising, and fascinating gaming ‘firsts’ were commonplace. There are very few Saturn games that Peter cannot find some enjoyment in!
