DoDonPachi #BestOfSaturn

Oh, Cave. Your bullet hell shmups are such a delight, and DoDonPachi is no exception.

Hitting the Japanese Saturn in late 1997, players choose from three ships each with a different standard bullet attack, and there are bombs to activate in a pinch. Giant bosses and a million things moving on the screen are the order of the day, and tate mode is available for those who wish to rotate their screens for that authentic arcade experience.

Go and kick ass, take names, and collect those golden bees!

Peter Malek

A Saturn fan since the beginning, Peter plays Saturn almost exclusively. For Peter, Saturn represents a moment in time where 2D games were at their best, 3D was just rising, and fascinating gaming 'firsts' were commonplace.  There are very few Saturn games that Peter cannot find some enjoyment in!
