Members of the Sega Saturn SHIRO! Discord may find themselves interacting with users in a new way after the staff added support for the Discross messaging app today! Saturn NetLink/XBand users can now post messages directly to the SHIRO! Discord server using PlanetWeb Web Browser 4.035, available for download at https://saturn.dreampipe.net/.
Discross is a third-party application for Discord that enables users to send messages from an HTML-based website (see: old internet) that is accessible from many internet-capable game consoles and computers. Once logged into the site on your device of choice, you can post messages directly to any registered Discord channel.
Since the SHIRO! Discord added support, you should already see it in your server list. You can also set up Discross on any server that you have admin access to.

Setup is simple — just head over to https://discross.net/ and register an account. You’ll first be asked for permission to access your user account. Then, type ^connect in the SHIRO! Discord and you should see the message on the left. Enter the verification code on the site to complete registration.
Now you can log in to http://discross.net/ (just http) using PlanetWeb Web Browser 4.035 on your Saturn with a NetLink or XBand modem and post messages directly to the SHIRO! Discord! This support adds to the growing list of NetLink features, including gaming, email and my favorite way to keep up on the latest news for the Saturn, an HTML-friendly version of the SHIRO! website at http://shiro.reye.me.
