Puyo Puyo Sun Is Set to Shine on Next SHIRO! Online Tournament

It is time for the ninth SEGA Saturn SHIRO! Online Tournament, so get ready to get down with some Puyo Puyo Sun For SEGANET! Sign-ups are now live over on the SHIRO! Discord server in the #online_tournaments chat, so hurry up and grab a seat while they are still available!

We will continue with three separate eight-player brackets for US East, US West and Europe. Rules are you must stick with default settings, best of one set of rounds (or best of 3 sets if both sides want more). All the characters are allowed as their differences are just cosmetic.

Also, since long distance in the finals isn’t really fair because of slow connection speed, we’re awarding tournament hat prizes to all three bracket winners this time around. There will still be a showdown for bragging rights in the finals to see who the overall tournament winner is.

Released in September 1997, Puyo Puyo Sun for SEGANET was one of the few Saturn online games you could get a box copy with a Xband modem packed in (if you happened to live in Japan 30 years ago).

The tournament will begin once all the seats are filled.
Get ready to drop those mean beans online!
