Who here’s played Shining The Holy Ark?

Been playing it the past couple of weeks, about 20 hours in and really enjoying it. I like how it’s not easy to grind, so you’ve really gotta engage with the battle system during boss fights.

The motoi sakuraba and odd artstyle give the game a really unique charm. It’s got nothing on SF3 though.

Hope the rest of the game is the same level of quality.

I really like the idea of playing first person dungeon crawlers, but always shy away from the genre due to constantly getting lost.

Looks like this game has a built in map function however, so I may have to try it out.

The only one i played prior to this was Etrian Odyssey 4, so I’m a bit of a beginner myself, but I’ve mostly had a pretty good time of not getting lost.

Only one dungeon properly did me in (so far)

LOVE Shining the Holy Ark. Really deep combat system and full of neat secrets and surprises.

i got a japanese copy long ago played only a little, i do want to play it more i feel i got it at one of the PRGE swap meets(before it became sidequest…)
