A user going by the name mrgreenranger posted a short trailer showing off a Resident Evil 2 mod for the Dreamcast.
Traditionally, Resident Evil mods are made for the PC port of the game, but mrgreenranger has gone above and beyond, and decided to make a mod for the Dreamcast version!
He has previously posted other… Interesting mods for the Dreamcast version, such as zombie children:
Or this speech mod, which adds additional cut lines from Resident Evil 2 back into the game:
The mod looks interesting, adding additional elements removed from Resident Evil 1.5, and even adding in Ark Thompson from Resident Evil: Survivor, the less than stellar entry in the series..

This doesn’t include the various gameplay modifications included in the short video, such as a back dash ability, playing as additional characters, or interacting with additional NPCs throughout the game.
The mod itself is running on the MakaronEX Dreamcast emulator, but the creator indicated that it will also be able to run on real Dreamcast hardware!
Resident Evil 2 is my favourite game of all time, so the ability to enjoy even more content within the game is a dream come true! I personally can’t wait to see what more the creator has in store, and what surprises lurk in the very interesting mod!
