MattoBii’s Sakura Wars’ Retrospective Video Series

We’ve recently been made aware of an amazing review series similar to PandaMonium Reviews channel, but for the entire Sakura Wars series.

For those of you not in the know, Sakura Wars at one time was one of SEGA’s prime strategy game series during the Saturn / Dreamcast’s lifespan. Releasing over 13 games since it’s initial release in 1996 on Saturn.

Sadly, due to the relatively small amount of games in the series officially localized in the west (A total of two games), the series remained obscure in comparison to SEGAs many other properties.

MattoBii however, is trying to change that by reviewing and giving his retrospective on the entire series. Giving his western audience a taste of what Sakura Wars is all about.

Just recently, he covered both Sakura Wars Columns 1 & 2, even adding English text over footage of the 1st columns game for ease of understanding:

For the main series so far, he has covered Sakura Wars 1:

And Sakura Wars 2:

Sakura Wars 2

This is definitely a massive undertaking, but hopefully this will help bring to light such an underrated series in the West.

You can check out his channel here, definitely recommend subscribing if you would like to keep track of his future Sakura Wars videos.
