On July 9th, 2023, Gregori Rasputin announced in a thread that him, Soniccd123, and Malenko started work on inserting the PS1 translation by Working Designs into the Saturn version of Silhouette Mirage:
On August 16th, 2023, the team, including Malenko (who we’ve covered many times in the past) released the first iteration of the Silhouette Mirage English Patch on SEGA Xtreme.
Currently, the Tutorial and Area 1 are completely playable in English from start to finish, but the rest of the game only has a bit of English to still being completely in Japanese.
The group is currently working on the following:
- Tutorial text sync correction
- 1-2 and 1-3 shops
- Text beautification in Tutorial and 1-2
- RAM selection prompt text
- 2-1 story text
- 2-2 story text
- 2-3 story text
Some of the issues they are having at the moment include:
- Out of sync prompts in Tutorial
- Infrequent text centering issues in Tutorial and 1-2
- Game crashes when entering 1-2 shops
- Japanese text in 1-3 shops
They even have a goal to eventually to insert the PS1 loading screen in place of the blank Saturn one.
