I guess the “edit” function isn’t implemented yet, but reading the comments above I just remember I forgot to say I got the M30 8-Bit Do gamepad about a year ago, it’s pretty good!

Edit button is in the top right corner of your post.
2026-05-13 at 16:58 #57591Real hardware whenever possible. Emulation for work and, uh, ‘science’. Though I do take advantage of modern conveniences such as RGB cables, wireless controllers, etc.
2026-05-14 at 05:09 #57604Emulation via retroarch (love retroachievements) on Pocket Retro 4 pro, its runs 90%+ at full speed and the rest are still playable (you have to overclock it, which really shortens the battery. I did get a crapy cart to hmdi for my saturn a year ago just to see if it still works, but havn’t got to play much with real hardware. Might get a Saroo and some proper joypads (I only have 2 terrible 3rd party ones from back in the day)
2026-05-14 at 08:36 #57616I mostly play on real hardware using my Saturn and the Satiator. I am considering starting to use the MiSTer though for streams, as it would be easier to swap over to games and save.
2026-05-15 at 09:31 #57718I mostly play on my hardware but I use an OhSnap! MCON and a Surface Duo 2 Android phone for YabaSanshiro. The Surface Duo 2 works well plugged into a laptop doc and I can sit back with the MCON and play. Pretty rare that I play like that though.
2026-05-24 at 06:07 #57955I started on Saroo but moved to Fenrir Lite. I like both but I wanted a Fenrir for possibility of online play got the netlink but have yet to set it up. My plan is to have two Saturns set up one with Fenrir the other with Saroo for fighting games etc.
I am new to Saturn, an old master system fanboy from childhood. So i have not played much of the library. So far my faves are Panzer Dragoon, Astal, Virtua Racing, Alien Trilogy and Last Bronx. Gonna try the new Doom patch now!2026-06-23 at 03:39 #58571Retroarch Beetlecore, I absolutely love it, it’s a godsend. I use a custom CRT dithering filter that’s pretty convincing.

I love being having one silly little 2 in 1 laptop for everything. I remember, back in my day, I’d have a gigantic desktop monster melting down trying to run Panzer Dragoon Saga. Now I can have a tiny work laptop to play PS2 games on without it breaking a sweat.
