Hot off the release of the Cotton Reboot back in February of this year, to celebrate 30 years of Cotton, the company City Connection recently announced a collection of Cotton 2 and Cotton Boomerang, along with Guardian Force for the PS4 and Switch, tentatively titled as “Cotton Guardian Force Saturn Tribute”.
From what we understand, it will be using the Saturn versions as the basis. However, it’s known that the Sega ST-V arcade board is pretty much a Sega Saturn, with all three of these games being released on Saturn and the Sega ST-V. Essentially it will be Arcade perfect, but also add all the bonuses included in the Saturn versions. Giving you the best of both worlds with this release!

The game is to be release on September 30th, 2021 in Japan. While no official release date for Western audiences has been announced, you can pre-order both editions on Amazon Japan, which luckily can be shipped the North America for Western fans.
Definitely recommend picking these up if you love the series, or would love to give it a try. With the growing price on Saturn games, with these ones in particular reaching over $200 a piece, it’s great to have options like this to experience the game, and support the developers!
